Internships

Staff Accountant

Sterling-Rice Group is a 120-person integrated marketing firm located in Boulder, Colorado. We're not your typical advertising agency. Associate Media Director

The Associate Media Director will drive new media thinking and platforms across SRG advertising clients; help to shape the media best practice team, including mentoring younger team members and optimizing our best practice skills; participate in new business with senior leadership, and develop, implement, and optimize media strategies and initiatives for a variety of clients. They will also oversee media planning and strategy for assigned clients.

Relationship Managing Director (Contract Position-East Coast)

We've been very successful over the years, but see a significant opportunity to reach more companies in the East Coast region -- especially in food and personal care - whose needs likely match the things we do so well. To that end, we desire to bring on a Relationship Managing Director on a contract basis to help us cultivate relationships in this region, share SRG capabilities where appropriate, identify opportunities for us to participate in pitches and proposals, and, upon successfully securing work, collaborate with the team in Boulder to deliver on that work. As a new position, our intention is to retain a qualified candidate on a contract basis initially. Should the relationship prove mutually successful, our intention is to hire.

The ideal candidate is someone who has worked on the client side, has a solid network in the region, has good skills in both business development and in leading projects, and who might be interested in exploring the consulting/agency side.

SRG is committed to ensuring that the candidate is set up for success. We'd bring him/her to Boulder to immerse in SRG at the start, provide the proper tools, and ask senior SRG partners to join on key visits/calls.

Successful Relationship Managing Directors at SRG have generally possessed the following qualifications:

  • 10+ years senior client-side experience in Packaged Goods, Healthcare or Food and Beverage. and/or consulting/agency experience at a top national or global firm.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Experience and interest in business development (but note this is NOT a "sales" role).
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • Excelled in both creative and analytical work.
  • Successfully built businesses / brands, and managed those respective P&L's.
  • Traditional and digital media experience.
  • Experience in managing and reviewing market research.

Analytics Associate

We are currently looking for an Analytics Associate to join our Insights and Strategy team. The Analytics Associate will perform data analyses to support strategy, digital strategy, account planning, and research projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Synthesize secondary research and syndicated data to understand and to size market dynamics and opportunity.
  • Perform deep-dive category analysis of syndicated and social media data in Excel or other mathematical/statistical programs.
  • Analyze and synthesize market, survey, and online data and industry reports to provide meaningful insights and hypothesis support, as well as to develop presentations and client documentation.
  • Design and own specific analyses and key deliverables to assist and inform SRG’s account planning and Go-To-Market functions and campaign executions.
  • Prepare charts and graphs using PowerPoint and other charting tools.
  • Perform internet research on all forms of data (social media, economic, consumer, etc.) and data availability.
  • Devote a portion of working capacity to addressing internal initiatives and lending expertise to other projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, engineering, or an associated field
